Sharing Images At Club Meetings
We do not have judging and competitions of images created by our members, but we actively support members sharing their images with other club members. Indeed, this is one of the primary activities in our club meetings. We also have the opportunity for commenters, as well as fellow members, to discuss images while they are being shared at meetings. Realizing that members have varying levels of needs for feedback regarding their images, we offer several opportunities for sharing images. These include:
- Sharing images submitted by members without formal commentary.
- Sharing images submitted by members with constructive critiquing by experienced commenters who will review them prior to the meeting. This critiquing process will highlight the positives and strengths of the images as well as offer considerations for changes where such considerations might make for a stronger image. Additionally, constructive suggestions will be accepted from fellow members as well.
- Sharing “Challenge” images for discussion by fellow club members.
- Sharing special topic images and videos as contributed by members. This might include such projects as photo essays, videos, or images from club outings or other events.
Our goal with our sharing options is to offer members opportunities to share their work with other members with varying levels of feedback that match their personal preferences. In this way, members will have a range of opportunities to share their work as they strive to enhance the art and craft of their photography. For details on how to submit images for sharing, see the next section under this tab titled “How to Prepare Images for Sharing."
